Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Arkansas red-hot November defense transitioned into December. Brandon Allen tossed a pair of touchdown passes and the Razorbacks limited Texas to just 59 total yards en route to a 31-7 dismantling of the Longhorns in the Texas Bowl on Monday night. The Razorbacks raced out to a 24-7 halftime advantage and never looked back. Arkansas held Texas to just 13 yards in the second half. It limited the Longhorns to a minuscule 0.1 yards per carry, while racking up 191 yards on the ground. Arkansas allowed just 9.5 points per game and forced 12 turnovers in November. It was national exposure, Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema said. For once, maybe we had better depth than our opponent. Tyrone Swoopes completed 13-of-25 passes for 57 yards with an interception for Texas (6-7), which was 3-5 going into November prior to ripping off three straight victories to become bowl eligible. The season is over, Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong said. You see we have a lot to do. We have to get better on offense. Arkansas scored the first 17 points of the game. After punting on its opening touch, the Razorbacks were faced with a 3rd- and-10 at the Texas 37 on its next possession. Allen hit Jared Cornelius over the middle and Texas Mykkele Thompson stripped the ball out, but the ball landed into the arms Hunter Henry for a gain of 20. The wild play led to an Adam McFain 32-yard field goal. Wilson came down with a jump ball along the left sideline for a 36-yard score early in the second on Arkansas next series for a 10-0 cushion. Taiwan Johnson recovered a muffed exchange between Swoopes and Johnathan in the end zone for Arkansas 17-0 margin midway through the second. Texas got on the board on its ensuing sequence when Swoopes capped off an 8- play, 44-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown keeper along the left sideline. Allen moved the chains on a 3rd-and-4 with a 10-yard scramble and then hit Drew Morgan for a 24-yard gain to move the ball to the Texas 10. Allen stepped up in the pocket on a 3rd-and-goal and found Hatcher in the back of the end zone for a 5-yard score. Williams 1-yard TD plunge early in the fourth was the lone score of the second half. FORTALEZA, Brazil -- He was called a hero and a saviour by his Mexican teammates. His Brazilian opponents said he produced miracles. There is no doubt that Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was the one responsible for spoiling Brazils hopes of another World Cup victory at its home tournament. Ochoa made a series of outstanding saves to help his side hold Brazil to a thrilling 0-0 draw on Tuesday. The result left both teams with four points each after two games in Group A, but Brazil is ahead on goal difference going into their decisive final matches. Croatia and Cameroon meet on Wednesday for their second games after both opened with defeats. "We cant avoid talking about their goalkeeper," Brazil striker Fred said. "He came up with at least four miracles." Ochoas first remarkable save prevented Neymar from scoring in the 26th minute. The Brazil strikers powerful header looked set to fly just inside the post when the goalkeeper dove to his right to push the ball wide. Ochoa also made three other difficult saves to keep the hosts from breaking the deadlock -- a shot by Paulinho in the 44th, a second-half effort by Neymar from inside the area and a close-range header by Thiago Silva in the 86th minute which produced a remarkable block by the Mexico goalkeeper. "It was the match of my life," said Ochoa, who was visibly moved after the match. "To do it in a World Cup, in front of all the fans, its incredible." Mexico captain Rafael Marquez said Ochoa was the "saviour" and coach Miguel Herrera called him the "hero" of the match. "He did what we expected him to do, he came up with extraordinary saves," Herrera said. "I cant remember another Mexican goalkeeper doing such a great job in the World Cup." A win by either team would have guaranteed a spot in the next round if Cameroon and Croatia were to draw in the jungle city of Manaus. "In the end, the 0-0 mirrors what happened, it was a very hard-fought match," Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said. "The draw wasnt a good result because a victory would have already allowed us to advance, but we need to be able to respect our opponent, which played very well." Herrera was pleased with his sides performance. "We had a great match against a great rival playing in front of its fans, in its stadium, in its country," he saidd.dddddddddddd "We showed that we can play at the same level as any other team." Brazil had won all three previous World Cup matches between the teams without conceding a goal, but the Latin American rivals hadnt met in the sports showcase tournament since 1962. "We already expected a match this difficult," Fred said. "We tried to score until the end but it wasnt possible. Well have to wait until the next match to try to secure a spot in the next round." It was an evenly balanced game at the Arena Castelao, with Mexico not allowing Brazil to take control. El Tri didnt play defensively and created chances throughout the match, especially with long-range shots by midfielders Hector Herrera and Jose Vazquez. Brazil, playing without striker Hulk, turned up the pressure in the second half, but there was no getting past Ochoa. The 28-year-old goalkeeper denied Paulinho just before halftime, blocking the midfielders shot after a loose ball inside the area, and then got his body in the way of Neymars drive inside the box. In the 86th, he was there on cue to block Silvas powerful header from point-blank range. "The only thing missing was the goal," Scolari said. "We need to give credit to their goalkeeper. He had a great day and that kept us from winning the match. He made some spectacular saves, was the best player of the match." Fans wearing Brazils green and yellow colours were the majority as expected, but Mexicans took over large seating sections of the stadium and at times were louder than the local fans. Among those in the crowd of 60,342 was NBA star Kobe Bryant, of the Los Angeles Lakers. Mexico had won six of the last 10 matches, including in the final of the 2012 London Olympics, keeping the Brazilians from earning their first gold medal in football. In their latest match, Brazil won 2-0 in last years Confederations Cup, also in Fortaleza and also in the second match of the group stage. ------ Lineups: Brazil: Julio Cesar, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo, Luiz Gustavo, Paulinho, Oscar (Willian, 84), Ramires (Bernard, 46), Neymar, Fred (Jo, 68). The 6-foot-10 Pelicans forward, who had been averaging 19.The recent ban on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and later the UFC could force one of the most popular fighters in mixed martial art into retirement. Chael Sonnen (28-4-1), a known user of TRT who has made a name for himself as a dominant wrestler and an animated presence behind a microphone, spoke Wednesday on "UFC Tonight" about the rule change and the effect it could have on his career. "If this retires guys, then it retires guys. The rules are the rules, and the rules need to be followed," he said. "Im going through this myself, where Ive had to stop testosterone with the hope that we can find a new way to gain the results of upping testosterone to stay at a healthy level. If it doesnt work, I may have to stop the sport. And its as simple as that." The TRT ban has already affected one of the sports biggest names. Last week, middleweight title contender Vitor Belfort (24-10) was forced to pull out of his championship bout against Chris Weidman. Lyoto Machida (21-4) hass stepped in to take on the 185-pound champion at UFC 173 on May 24.dddddddddddd Belfort, who has never hid behind the use of TRT, sang a different tune about the potential impact the ban would have on his fighting future. "As other jurisdictions may follow suit, I am going to drop my TRT program and compete in MMA without it," Belfort said in a statement provided to Fox last week. Being that fighters, including Sonnen, feel that TRT is necessary for them to compete at the same level as their opponents, some red flags went up when Belfort didnt put up much of a fight against the ban. "As it relates to Vitor, I think this was a very genuine and sincere thing for him," Sonnen said. "Heres the problem that I have: a fighter that said seven days ago, I need TRT or I cant do this, and then all of a sudden goes, Well, Ill just stop TRT. I find that very disingenuous." Sonnen is scheduled to fight Wanderlei Silva in a grudge match between coaches in "The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3" finale on May 31.
